Crown Me King Vol. 1 is the first instalment of an ongoing saga that takes a peek into the conflicted mind of a king that due to life’s circumstances, has being subjected to live a complicated life of peasantry, poverty and struggle due to his environment and upbringing. Solomon DaGreat, a prolific and raw street poet, reflects the reason why knowledge can be a curse and triumph can often only come through malice and pain through these songs. With baselines and dark melodies coupled with gangster like rifts and drops, the beats make you wanna bop your head while the words keep you in deep intrinsic thought. Although this is a promotional album, it definitely has the mark of a classic with tracks like “Dear Amerikkka” and “Got Life,” this album will definitely have its listeners curious and anticipating what Solomon DaGreat and The Dirty Sample will be cooking up in the lab next.
